Juliet Davenport "honoured" to be new EI President

Renewables pioneer Juliet Davenport OBE HonFEI has been appointed President of the EI at today's AGM. Blinding idea scoops EI climate change award

Bright sparks from St Paul's Girls' School in London have won this years' EI Climate Change Award, part of Engineering UK's Big Bang Competition. Sasha and Josephine wowed our judges with their project ‘SolUp’, which involved making a prototype of their design for window blinds that generate electricity from sunlight. Find out more
Little progress on diversity in UK sector boardrooms

The representation of women in senior roles in the eighty largest UK energy employers has made little progress in the past 12 months, according to the annual State of the Nation gender diversity report published by POWERful Women and PwC. Find out more
Number of incidents low despite record offshore wind activity

Health and safety incidents remain low despite 2021 being a record year for offshore wind activities, according to new data published by G+, the Global Offshore Wind Health and Safety Organisation based at the EI. Find out more
